NATIONAL BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. It is a nationwide campaign founded in 2006 by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center. The campaign is held in during the month of October and unites communities around the world to educate and raise awareness of bullying prevention.

PESA Program

 
San Jose Charter Academy is delighted to invite you to participate in a free parenting program sponsored by The Los Angeles County Office of Education. This program is called PESA, which stands for Parent Expectations Support Achievement.
 
PESA is a parent education program that consists of a series of workshops that teaches parents communication skills to improve relationships with their children and to build a strong, safe, and nurturing home. In each session, you will learn interactions that will also help you support the academic success of your child.
 
Participants will meet once a week for six weeks starting Tuesday, April 11th from 6 to 8 pm. Each session is two hours long and consists of 20 to 25 parents/guardians. All parents/guardians who sign up for this program must commit to all six sessions. The last session will be on Tuesday, May 16th.
